Four candidates in Glengarry-Prescott-Russell

electionsThe four candidates in the federal riding of Glengarry-Prescott-Russell, which includes the Village of Limoges, have been declared. Next month, local residents will be asked to choose one of these candidates in the 2015 federal election.

Candidates for the Liberal Party (Francis Drouin), NDP (Normand Laurin), and PC (Pierre Lemieux) have been known since election signs went up on Aug. 16. This past weekend, the Green Party of Canada listed Geneviève Malouin-Diraddo as their local candidate.

The Canadian election will take place on Oct. 19, 2015. Residents in the Village of Limoges will vote as part of the Glengarry-Prescott-Russell riding.

Drouin, Laurin and Malouin-Diraddo are all new to the federal elections while Mr. Lemieux has won the last three elections in Glengarry-Prescott-Russell.
