LimogesVillage Limoges benefitted from four Friday Open Play Nights in March and April. The four nights encouraged young kids to stay active indoors before the outdoor parks were open for Spring 2017.

Local teenagers and kids were encouraged to “just play” at the gymnasium in the Limoges Community Centre in Limoges, Ontario. The four nights were organized by The Nation Municipality and the Limoges Recreation Committee with support by the Limoges Optimist Club.

The four Friday nights were March 10 and March 17 as well as April 7 and 14. The activities were free to local residents on all four nights, with the gymnasium doors open from 6-8pm. Half the gym was left open for basketball while the other half was open for other sports including futsal, hockey, dodge ball, and other running activities. The kids decided what, when, and how they wanted to play.

The gymnasium at the Limoges Community Centre is inside the St-Viateur school at 205 Limoges Road, so there was free parking on location.
