LimogesBoth the Nation Municipality and Russell Township will collect large items in Village Limoges this 2016 week from Apr. 25-29. On both sides of the village, large items should be placed curbside before 7am on the morning of 7am.

The Spring Clean Up / Large Item Collection will only pass each household once during the week.

In The Nation Municipality, “volume must not exceed the box size of a standard pickup truck; items must not weigh more than 100 pounds, except for refrigerators, freezers, stoves, etc.”
– Stoves, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers;
– Refrigerators, freezers (doors must be removed and items removed), and air conditioners (items containing CFC’s must be tagged by licensed technician confirming that the coolant has been removed);
– Furniture, mattresses, toys, swings, lawn furnitures, barrels, water tanks (empty), etc;
– Electronic and electrical items;
– Tires with or without rims;
– Paint cans that are empty and open (no lids).

In Russell Township, the instructions are similar: “the load must be no larger than a pick-up truck and items weigh no more than 100 pounds with the exception of fridges and freezers. Please make sure that water tanks have been emptied of water.”
– Refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, tire, washing machine, dryer, air conditioner, furnance, bedspring, sofa, mattress, barrel, water tank, lawn furniture, toys, etc. Please ensure that swings are taken apart. Broken glass and mirrors shall be placed in boxes for safety reasons. Refrigerators and freezers must have the doors removed, items containing CFC’s must have been emptied of gas and tagged by a licensed technician. Do not use green or black garbage bags for small items; place them in boxes or clear garbage bags.

Items that will not be picked up include: electronic waste; explosives; hazardous substances; pathological waste; old farm equipment; grass clippings or leaves; household garbage; recyclable items.
