Le marcheton 2016 | $8,000 raised by local church

LimogesThe Limoges 2016 Walkathon was a success as the St-Viateur Parish was able to raise $8,455. The annual event took place on Sep. 25 in the Village of Limoges, Ontario.

More than two dozen persons from the community met at the St-Viateur Parish at 1pm for the Sunday event. There was both a 5km course and with a 1km mini walk for kids. Afterwards, the participants met in together in the parish for snacks and refreshing drinks.

The Limoges Walkathon is an annual fall tradition. In the last three years alone, the event has raised more than $23,000. The St-Viateur Parish is located on Mabel Street in Limoges. The St-Viateur Parish priest is Father Édouard Ntiyankundiye.

Le marcheton de Limoges 2016 fut un grand succès. La somme nette de $8 455 a été recueillie lors de l’évènement. Un merci sincère a tous les bénévoles, les commanditaires et sans oublier les nombreux marcheurs, coureurs et cyclistes.
