LimogesThe Nation Municipality has installed a pair of basketball nets at the outdoor sports rink in Village Limoges. The two new nets were installed with the financial support of the Limoges Recreation Committee, the Limoges’ Optimist Club, and the Russell Basketball League.

The Limoges sports rink is located on Mabel Street near the St-Viateur Parish of Limoges. The rink is managed by The Nation Municipality, offering free ice time in the winter and a concrete court for soccer, ball hockey, basketball and other sports for the rest of the year.

The Limoges Recreation Committee is a dynamic team of volunteers working to improve recreation in the community through projects, policies, plans, programs, budgets, and other issues related to local facilities and activities. The committee meets once a month and both supports and coordinates local projects including fundraisers. The committee also engages and connects the local community on their needs and expectations as it relates to recreation in the Village of Limoges.

Village Limoges is a young, endearing community nestled at the doorstep of Canada’s national capital region. Straddling both The Nation Municipality and Russell Township, the village borders the great Larose Forest, one of Ontario’s largest forests. As part of both municipalities, the village sits in the United Counties of Prescott and Russell.
