Limoges votes in Monday federal election

electionsResidents in the Village of Limoges will vote in the 2015 federal election on Monday, Oct. 19. Residents will vote as part of the Glengarry-Prescott-Russell riding.

On election day, voting will take place at the Limoges Community Centre at 205 Limoges Road (the St-Viateur elementary school). The polling station is open from 9:30am until 9:30pm.

To vote, residents must bring their Voter Information Card (mailed to every household) and a piece of identification. Every resident must be a “Canadian citizen, be at least 18 years old on election day, and prove their identity and address.”

In Glengarry-Prescott-Russell, the four local candidates are Francis Drouin for the Liberal Party, Normand Laurin for NDP, Pierre Lemieux for PC, and Geneviève Malouin-Diraddo for the Green Party of Canada.

Drouin, Laurin and Malouin-Diraddo are all new to the federal elections while Mr. Lemieux has won the last three elections in Glengarry-Prescott-Russell.
