The Nation seeks nominees for Volunteer Award

NationThe Nation Municipality will celebrate their 2017 Volunteers of the Year at an upcoming recognition evening in January 2018. The new award will recognize an outstanding volunteer from each ward within The Nation Municipality, which includes Village Limoges in Ward 4.

“Volunteer recognition is something very important to me – they ensure that our communities are welcoming, fun and vibrant,” said Francois St-Amour, Mayor of The Nation Municipality. “I look forward to officially recognizing these amazing community members.”

Residents have up until Dec. 22 to nominate their outstanding community volunteers, with the form online at nationmun.ca. The Volunteer Recognition gala is scheduled for Jan. 27, 2018.

“The Nation Municipality is fortunate to have a great number of exceptional volunteers,” said Carol Ann Scott, Recreation Coordinator at The Nation Municipality. “I believe that it is important to highlight the work they put in – they are the foundation of our communities.”
