LimogesThe Nation Municipality has installed traffic-calming collapsible medians on two streets in Village Limoges. The medians were installed to help promote safe and cautious driving within the posted speed zones on Giroux Road and Des Pins Road.

Speeding has often been a problem in Village Limoges, especially when drivers are asked to change speeds from one speed zone to another. Unnecessary speeding often takes place on Limoges Road, Des Pins Road, Savage Road, Giroux Road, and Indian Creek Road.

Efforts to curb village speeding has been discussed in length by the Limoges Citizens’ Committee at their monthly meetings. At the most recent meeting in June, The Nation Municipality discussed their plans to implement these new traffic-calming measures on Des Pins and Giroux roads.

Village Limoges is a young, endearing community nestled at the doorstep of Canada’s national capital region. Straddling both The Nation Municipality and Russell Township, the village borders the great Larose Forest, one of Ontario’s largest forests.
