Watch out for the hole in the side of the road

LimogesWalkers, runners, cyclists, and dog enthusiasts descending Indian Creek Road must watch out for a large hole in the side of the road. The hole in the road is located just after Indian Creek Road turns to a gravel road in North Limoges, Ontario.

The hole in the road opened up on 7 or 8 April after a continuous stream of rain fall and melting snow likely caused the erosion. The Indian Creek Road hole falls under the side railing and looking down on the local river stream.

The erosion comes in the first spring after the Nation Municipality replaced an open ditch system with a new storm water management system. The new system pushes water down the hill beyond the paved road portion onto the side of the gravel road portion.

Residents in North Limoges are simply asked to use caution (and common sense) when walking east on Indian Creek Road towards Larose Forest.
